NEXT WORLD #1

Two talented amateurs will be teeing it up in the MCKAYSON New Zealand Women’s Open.

A ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY FOR TWO TALENTED AMATEUR GOLFERS

2017’s “Search for the Next World #1” will assess high performing female amateur golfers at three sites in Asia for a chance to tee it up alongside the best players in the world in New Zealand’s first LPGA Tour event, with Lydia Ko already confirmed to start the tournament.

New Zealand based high performance coaching group, Institute of Golf (IOG), will be providing complimentary assessments for high performing female amateur players in Seoul, Beijing, and Dongguan over a 10 day period in June 2017.  IOG has been a longtime industry leader in recognizing and developing talent, as evidenced by their work with current world number one Lydia Ko from the ages of 6 - 16.

Assessments will be standardized for all players and use Flightscope to capture swing data with a driver, six iron, and wedge.  Putting will also be analyzed.  Data will be benchmarked against LPGA Tour performance data.
Those players displaying the most talent and potential will be invited to Auckland, New Zealand to compete in a 36-hole stroke play event to be held the weekend before the MCKAYSON New Zealand Women’s Open.

The two winners of the 36-hole stroke play event will enjoy the life changing experience of teeing it up in the LPGA Tour event starting Thursday of that week. The two lucky winners will also experience a week of life on the LPGA Tour, participating in the same rigorous and exciting schedule as the rest of the field.
